A dream comes true…

Today we had our official opening represented by the Governor of Embu County Sir Martin N. Wambora.
It was a very very touching day for me.
The gift he brought with him helps us and many people in our area: The road that leads past our orphanage will be renewed next month….
Despite his very tight schedule, as this year’s elections are coming, he made time to come and open our Home of Smile personally.
He planted a tree, severed the ribbon to the entrance, made the memorial plaque viewable, cut the cake with the children and entered our guestbook.

Apart from the Governor, many more important guests had come to open Home of Smile.
The Catholic priest has spoken the prayer and then made the blessing.
Finally, the buffet was opened so that no one had to go home hungry or thirsty. There were about 100 guests present who were very impressed by the new Home of Smile in your community.

After 3 years, a dream becomes reality…
