…for this stay it was our last Sunday today.

Wich was as follows:

As always at 6 am I get up, eat breakfast. The children are to be made ready for the church. One of the two girls has mumps and has to be taken to the hospital. She’s called Frieda. Milisan, our new caretaker, takes care of this. Siggi and Sven stay here, while I go with Susan, Brenda (the other girl) and Elizabeth, she is 2.5 years old and the daughter of Milisan to church. Brenda on my back and Elisabeth on Susan ‘s back. We have to walk for about 3 km. It is our first visit at the Catholic Church here and we were able to introduce ourselves and were greeted warmly. Meanwhile Siggi and Sven were working at the closet and at the filling cabinet. After church the dinner was being prepared. Milisan and Frieda got back from the hospital. Frieda was given penicillin and some pills. After dinner, the two big boys took a siesta and I painted two toilett doors. So I had done my part for painting. Siggi has finished the filling closet. Then we got a visit from the church council. We have been drinking coffee together and we showed them our new Home of Smile…
Afterwards, I have spread the gravel a bit…
End of work on Sunday in Kenya.
In the middle of the week there is still something special, but more about that later.
I am slowly able to enjoy more and more what we have created together. And when I watch the children at dinner and see their happy children’s eyes, then I know why we have built all that. The three of them feel already at home now. Never before they have had such a home with all the normal things like bed, toilets, regular meals etc. What have these young children had to experience in their short life…
I can not thank you enough for all your support.
It is indescribably beautiful…
