How did this happen?

The high school / secondary school Willigis in Mainz had school party in September. HoS was presented by the senior classes in a project work.
The vice principal Michael Kuntz, who made the contact to HoS, invited me to personally receive the donation on school day and present Home of Smile to the school management and the council. In the cathedral of Mainz, which I was invited by school pastor Dr. Volker Busch, I then reported about my project.

It was indescribable. Just standing in the sacristy of the Mainz Cathedral was a highlight.
Then it was time…
I stood up there looking into the depths of the cathedral.
There were about 600 young people.

Goose bumps… everyone was quiet…
I had 10 minutes of speaking time… take a deep breath and then??
In advance I prepared my speech very carefully…
I was as cool as a cucumber, unbelievable… Probably the man of this house helped me…
Even now, when writing these lines, I have goose bumps. This is an experience, I believe, which happens only once in a lifetime.
Then in the school cafeteria again a highlight.

In front of the very interested council I was allowed to speak about Home of Smile. The heavy demands showed me the enthusiasm of my project.
Then the principal Dr. Roman Riedel handed me a check about 2,000 euros. Just awesome…
The collection from the Catholic worship service in the cathedral as well as the evangelical adventures in Altmünster collected by the pupils,

was in total 1470 euros. AWESOME…

The icing on the cake for me personally was then the feedback that my presentation in the cathedral has inspired the young people. Simply unbelievable… beautiful

Home of Smile has more than arrived in Willigis…
The greatest is that the school will support us as a longer-term project.
Have a look at www.willigis-online.de.
There the school and its many projects are described very well.

Again a heartfelt thanks to all involved.
You are a gift for the world
